Ahmad Amjad Shehada

Ahmad Amjad Shehada was a 16-year-old Palestinian student from the historic city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, known for its vibrant culture and resistance to Israeli occupation. Born into a working-class family in the Askar refugee camp, Ahmad attended school while working part-time at his uncle's auto repair shop to help support his parents and three younger siblings. Friends and teachers remembered him as a bright, kind-hearted teenager who loved football and dreamed of becoming an electrical engineer.

On November 23, 2022, Ahmad's life was brutally cut short when Israeli occupation forces stormed Nablus to escort armed settlers to Joseph's Tomb - a frequent flashpoint in the city. As Palestinian youth protested the military incursion into their city, Israeli soldiers opened fire with live ammunition, striking Ahmad directly in the heart. Eyewitnesses reported that he was shot while standing nearly 100 meters from any clashes, holding his hands in the air. The bullet tore through his chest, causing massive internal bleeding. Despite frantic efforts by paramedics, Ahmad bled to death on the street before reaching Rafidia Hospital, where doctors pronounced his arrival as "a corpse with a gaping chest wound."
