At approximately 7:58 a.m, troopers received a call of a domestic battery inside of a gray Toyota Corolla, which was occupied by a woman and a man. Witnesses reported to police seeing a male striking the female several times. At approximately 8:19 a.m., troopers located the other in the area of Lake Mead Blvd. near mile marker 14, and shot and killed Adrian Zarate-Cervantes at approximately 8:26 a.m.
