Biography
Adham Fayez Mousa Kashef, 20, was a Palestinian from the Um ash-Sharayet neighborhood in al-Biereh city, central West Bank. On May 18, 2021, Israeli soldiers shot and killed him at the northern entrance of al-Biereh during a military attack on Palestinian protesters. The soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades, killing Adham and another young man, Mohammad Ishaq Hmeid, and injuring scores of others.
Adham Fayez Mousa Kashef was born and raised in Um ash-Sharayet, a neighborhood of al-Biereh city near Ramallah. At 20 years old, he was part of a generation that had grown up amid military incursions and political unrest in the West Bank. On May 18, 2021, during escalating tensions, Israeli soldiers confronted Palestinian protesters at the northern entrance to al-Biereh. The soldiers opened fire with live ammunition, rubber-coated steel bullets, and tear gas.
