Around 12 p.m., Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers were attempting to stop a other that had been reported as stolen from Purcell by Adam Ray Hernandez. Hernandez led police on a 5-minute chase until he crashed the other. Two troopers shot and killed Adam Hernandez as he exited the other. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police. Troopers Joe Kimmons and Clay Anderson were placed on leave.
