A 21-year-old PhD student in veterinary medicine at Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, from the eastern part of Azarbaijan and Turk Azarbaijani, was arrested during the protests on 18 Dey 1404 in Ahvaz and held in Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz. He was released on bail on 14 Bahman 1404. He died of a heart attack in Ramsar on 26 Bahman 1404. There are reports of torture during detention.
