Deadly force

Lepak was wanted by police in connection with domestic violence charges. He'd left his wife paralyzed and in critical condition. When found he engaged in a two-hour armed standoff with police from multiple agencies, holed up in a room in a down-and-out roadside motel. When he gestured his weapon toward an officer, he was fatally shot.
