Police said they tried to stop Aaron Chavez in a stolen car, but he allegedly fled on foot. An officer chasing Chavez saw him reach and grab an object out of his pocket. The officer thought Chavez was brandishing a knife and shot and killed Chavez. Panel of DAs cleared officer of any wrongdoing.
