At Rest

Deadly force
Deputies were dispatched to Huggins' home after Huggins' father and step-mother said Huggins threatened to torch their home. Charles Huggins Jr. called back minutes later to tell officers his son threatened to shoot himself. Deputies found him in the woods behind the house. Huggins, armed with three large kitchen knives, lunged at officers, who shot him four times, killing him, police said.
This record exists so that Charles Walter “Chuck” Huggins III, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
