Miller died during a police chase when he lost control of the pick-up truck he was driving around 7:11 p.m. Miller's truck went off the southbound lane and traveled over 150 feet before crashing into a tree at the edge of Bolivar Lake. The pursuit began after Miller reportedly ran a stop sign in Rosedale. The truck Miller was driving belonged to officer J.B. Moore, who was Miller's uncle by marriage.
