Deadly force

While driving an unmarked police other, Detective heard gunfire and saw a man with a gun standing over another in the street. The wounded victim was able to get up and flee, followed by the gun wielder, who shot at him again. The officer exited his other, identified himself as police, and ordered the suspect to drop his weapon. He did not comply and headed toward the officer, pointing his gun at him. He was shot and killed.
