Deadly force
After a street argument caused by Merriweather sitting on a car belonging to another man, Williamson, Merriweather left and returned with a handgun. Williamson produced a knife. The police arrived and ordered both men to freeze. Merriweather shot Williamson six times in the torso, then turned the gun on police; he was promptly shot to death. Williamson survived.
