Deadly force
Vevea and his girlfriend were arguing in the parking lot of a convenience store and someone called police. Witnesses told police that Vevea had driven off alone. An officer was responding to an alarm call at a restaurant when he saw Vevea's other drive by, police said. The officer followed the car to a condominium complex where, as he tried to approach Vevea, Vevea gunned his car backward and forward, ultimately driving toward the cop and his cruiser. Vevea sped through the parking lot with the officer hanging on the car, police said. While still hooked on the moving car, the officer freed his gun from the holster and fired several shots, killing Vevea.
