Deadly force

In a controversial incident, local police and a state trooper intercepted Washington at his former girlfriend's house at her request. The three met on a path in the back of the house, two shots rang out, and Washington was dead. Initial statements issued by the Utica police and the DA were inconsistent with witness accounts and with each other, one of many disturbing discrepancies in the case.
