Watson robbed an Italian restaurant at gunpoint after midnight, netting about $7K, then fled followed by police. He crashed his other and set up a three-hour armed standoff with a large number of county deputies through the overnight hours. Probably wounded, after negotiations Watson finally shot at the police. Sixteen different officers fired their weapons in return--one of those fired two weapons--and killed him.
