Deadly force
A police officer fatally shot a 24-year-old man who grabbed a gun from the officer's partner during a traffic stop and began shooting, police said. The officers stopped the man's car about 2:30 a.m. on the city's west side and discovered that there was a warrant for his arrest. The man resisted arrest, grabbed one officer's gun and fired several shots. The other officer shot and killed the man.
