Flahive allegedly broke into the private home of an FBI agent in an attempted burglary, shortly after midnight, waking the agent. The official account describes the agent giving five or six attempts to submit before firing a single round, where hospital officials describe multiple gunshot wounds. Flahive was apparently unarmed.
