Tayler Romine was killed when the car she was in collided with a squad car driven by rookie correctional officer Christopher Darr, 23. Romine was in the back seat of a car driven by her older sister, who attempting to turn left onto US 36. According to police, Darr was taking a man to Hillsboro to begin serving a two-year sentence for driving with a revoked license. Romine's older sister was reportedly charged with failure to yield from a private drive.
