Educator Hinson was struck and killed by a other fleeing from the police. On reports of a other speeding and weaving, local police had pulled the 1999 Mercury Sable over, successfully, but it then bolted. The first jurisdiction alerted Dayton Beach police, who were after the Sable when it ran an intersection and collided with Hinson.
