Ryan J. Kingsbury died January 7, 2003, as a result of injuries sustained when he crashed his car during a chase on November 28, 2002. According to reports, a deputy was pursuing Kingsbury at about 10:45 p.m. when he lost control on a curve near the Russell-Ellsworth county line, struck a stone fence post, and overturned. The reason for the pursuit wasn't given.
