Allen was the passenger as his friend led police on a wild, fast, extended chase after they'd refused to pull over on the main drag at the beach. They pulled into an apartment complex, abandoned the other, and swam across a small lake in an escape attempt. Except Allen didn't make it: His friend was caught, spent the night in jail, found Allen's father the next day, and returned to find the body.
