Less-than-lethal force

Thompson experienced some kind of seizure while driving, and struck a taxi in front of Union Station. Capitol police had to forcibly remove his hands from the wheel, leaving him handcuffed, face down in the street, with officers physically on top of him, as paramedics arrived and found Thompson unresponsive. He died of "positional asphyxia." His widow filed a $50M wrongful death suit.
