Nicholas Hans Killinger, 23, was gunned down live on TV news cameras at the conclusion of a 90-minute high-speed pursuit that ended outside Santa Monica High School in the early hours. It appeared the other rolled back after failing to negotiate a U-turn, as opposed to Killinger attempting to run over the police.
