Deadly force
Police stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 18-year-old Kyle Robert Gray at the intersection of Park Avenue and West 18th Street about 10 minutes after the armed robbery of a North Side motel. Police said Martin exited the passenger's side of the other, rushed to the front of it and began firing a gun at officers. He was killed when police returned fire.
