Ray Marilo reportedly fled on foot after the 1993 Pontiac Bonneville he was driving turned into a police car on Old McHenry Road, and was found dead of a broken neck the next morning, face down in Buffalo Creek. The impact of the 11:45 p.m. crash caused the police car to roll several times. The officer survived the crash with minor bruises, police said.
