Deadly force
An officer at Austin district headquarters noticed a commotion across the street at a gas station. Mullins and a tow truck driver, who was there to impound a car got into a dispute and Mullins wouldn't stop driving the car when a policeman reached in and tried to get him to stop. Mullins dragged the officer for approximately 170 feet while the officer demanded he stop the car. The officer fired at Mullins and killed him. The car hit a lamppost and finally stopped.
