Deadly force
Two men fought in a front yard, for reasons unknown, and the 50ish homeowner fired a shotgun. He retreated inside. When local police arrived they engaged in a four-hour standoff. The man emerged once or twice with a handgun. At about 10 p.m. he brought out the shotgun, fired at the entrenched officers, and was fatally shot in return. Police didn't release his name.
