Christopher Hamilton and Joshua Fitzgerald were both passengers in a other driven by a third man. The driver had sped away from a traffic stop in the early morning hours, with alcohol in his system, and led police on a five- or six-mile chase at high speed. He lost control, the car crashed and burst into flame, killing the two. The driver was thrown clear of the car and later found calling for help in the woods.

This record exists so that Joshua Fitzgerald, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
