Suicide
Officers pulled over a truck driven by Alan Beene for a traffic violation. Beene's passenger Beasley, wanted for violating parole, drove away in the truck as Beene was taken into custody. Law enforcement chased Beasley about five miles into Grimes County, where the other came to a stop. Beasley threatened suicide. Montgomery County SWAT team tried to gas Beasley out of the truck. Beasley fatally shot himself.
