William Joynes Foreman was killed after crashing into a tree while trying to flee a state trooper on U.S. 17 in Essex County. The trooper tried to stop Foreman after he was clocked traveling 90 mph in a 55 mph zone, but he allegedly accelerated and later lost control while rounding a sharp turn. Speeds reportedly reached 120 mph during the three-minute, 8.5-mile pursuit.
