Petersburg police officer David Christian was handed down a $500 fine for a high-speed collision that killed Robert Allen, 75, and Juanita Allen, 71. Judge James F. D'Alton Jr. dismissed the main charges, two counts of vehicular manslaughter. Christian was found guilty of a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving for speeding down Washington Street at almost double the speed limit without his lights and siren activated. Christian also had his driver's license revoked for two months.
