On a 2006 Wonder Lake domestic dispute call, then-Deputy Zane Seipler shot David Maxson with a bean bag gun three times as the man charged other deputies with a knife. The man had expressed his intention to commit suicide and the deputies were trying to convince him to relinquish the knives in his possession.
