Deadly force
County probation officers went to pick him up on a warrant. He refused; they pepper sprayed him. He pulled a hunting knife and was able to escape out the back door and into a gulch. Police were called. An officer arrived and told him to surrender. When he didn't, he was shot twice (chest and hip).
