Gaytan got into a fight at Rocklin City Jail. Deputies took Gaytan to Milam County Jail to jail for holding. Gaytan fought with the deputies in the booking area. A deputy tasered Gaytan. He died at Breckenridge Hospital. Texas Ranger Matthew Lindemann investigated. Media reports don't state categorically whether he was booked in Milam County Jail, so this incident may be outside of FatalEncounters dataset, which does not include individuals after they've been booked into the detention system.
