Gant had not yet completed the booking process for assault and drug possession when she started to behave oddly at around 2:20 a.m. She was sent first to the Medical Section of Central Booking Facility, then Breckenridge Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 3:44 a.m. It was the first TCSO death in custody in 2007.
