Less-than-lethal force

David Brown died following a struggle with police. Police said they responded to Brown's home at about 8:20 p.m. because Brown had beaten his father and brother. Police said they were told Brown had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Brown allegedly charged at an officer, leading to a struggle. According to police, an officer "unsuccessfully deployed his department-issued Taser in attempts to control Brown." Brown began having "cardiac difficulties" in an ambulance, police said.
