Davis tried to rob a house at gunpoint. The residents fought back. Davis fled. Officers arrested Davis. He had a medical emergency in their presence and died at the scene of complications related to an enlarged heart. This fatal encounter was not brought to a grand jury because it was ruled that Davis died of natural causes.
