Less-than-lethal force

McMinn had been brought in for being drunk and acting erratically at a local motel. While being booked McMinn became combative. Two deputies tasered McMinn a total of six times, which caused cardiac arrest and killed him. The medical examiner identified the cause of death as "excited delirium," with symptoms of sickle cell disease and a partially collapsed lung.
