A police chase ended with a fatal crash. A passenger in the car, Jaymes Pruitt, 17, of Cleveland, was killed when the 2002 Dodge Intrepid slammed into a utility pole. He was not wearing a seat belt. The 17-year-old driver was wearing a bulletproof vest and was not seriously hurt.
