Villareal and another man robbed a bank of $10,000. The other man left in a truck. Villareal demanded a getaway car. A banker gave Villareal his Cadillac. Villareal drove away and crashed into Officer Daniel Elizondo. They left their vehicles. Villareal shot Officer Elizondo in the leg. Officer Elizondo fatally shot him.
