Deadly force
According to DPD, Ross was wanted in connection to a bank robbery in Amarillo when he barricaded himself into a residence in Dallas. SWAT officers responded. Ross threatened the officers, then exited the house and approached officers with a toy rifle. Officers Tim Houston, Chuck Deltufo and Mark Villareal shot at Ross five times, hitting him three times. Ross died at the scene.
