Police said Meints invaded an Air Park Drive home with a pistol, took cash and cellphones from the victims and drove off in the homeowner's car. Police found the car at 660 Dean Road, where the man and a 3-year-old boy were inside. Shortly after arriving at the mobile home, officers heard a gunshot, and the bullet went through an exterior wall. Police entered the home, found the unhurt 3-year-old and Meints' body in a separate bedroom.
