At Rest

Vehic/Purs
Tommye Ruth Freeman was killed when a SUV fleeing police struck her car. Byron Brown, the SUV's driver, was apparently being pursued in connection with a nonviolent residential burglary. Brown was convicted of murder in Freeman's death in 2012, and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. In July 2015, a jury awarded Freeman's family $2.1 million in damages.
This record exists so that Tommye Ruth Freeman, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
