Sanchez used a four-door Toyota Avalon to ram a patrol other head on, pinning the patrol other between the Avalon and a pillar. Sanchez backed up the Avalon, then tried to ram the patrol other again. Officer Robert Ingram shot at Sanchez through the windshield of the patrol other, killing Sanchez. A crack pipe was found in Sanchez's other. Officer Ingram had served for 12 years.
