David D. Wanzer was killed and four people were injured after a police chase ended in a three-car collision. The pursuit began downtown at about 9:30 p.m., when officers swerved to avoid being struck by Wanzer, who was reportedly driving an Oldsmobile without its headlights on. The officers chased the car until it crashed into a Dodge pickup about five minutes later.
