Bobby D. Russell reportedly stabbed himself as police attempted to arrest him on a warrant for failing to appear in court for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. Police went to a house at about 9:30 p.m. after getting a tip Russell was there. According to police, an officer heard what sounded like vomiting in the basement. Police said they found Russell barely alive with a knife protruding from his chest. Russell died within an hour.
