SLMPD officer Vladimir Vujica reportedly fled from a police car and committed suicide while under investigation. County police went to Vujica's home to serve a search warrant related to child pornography. Later that day, SLMPD Internal Affairs officers were driving Vujica to police headquarters for questioning when he reportedly jumped out of the car a few blocks from their destination and ran. Police said that Vujica wasn't technically in custody so he wasn't handcuffed or restrained. According to police, officers searched the area, but couldn't find him. At about 11:30 p.m., someone called 911 after finding Vujica behind Lasalle Park Baptist Church.
