Deputies came across Floridian Byrd by the road in a pickup truck at 1:30 a.m. Disoriented, combative, and bleeding from unexplained wounds on his arms, Byrd was subdued by the officers and had stopped breathing in the back of the police other within half an hour. Some reporting suggested he'd been tasered but the cause of death remained unclear.
