Deadly force

Passenger Glenn hopped out of a car during a traffic stop and fled, on foot, into an alley. The pursuing local officer shot him to death apparently without specific provocation. Glenn was on his hands and knees. The officer was indicted, convicted of reckless homicide, and sentenced to two years in prison, one of the rare cases where an officer has been indicted for a line-of-duty killing. He served merely six months.
