Driver Evaristo G. Limas and passenger Joseph L. Pecina-Pine died from injuries suffered in a crash during a police chase. According to police, officers tried to stop a pickup truck that was being driven recklessly at about 1:30 a.m., but Limas sped away on I-35. Limas lost control of the truck on the I-435 E exit ramp. Limas and Pecina-Pine were ejected from the truck when it rolled several times.
