Deadly force
Somebody had reported Ross on 911 as suicidal. After deputies spoke to him through his front door in mid-afternoon, and after SWAT forces had time to arrive and set up, Ross emerged. He had a knife and cuts on his wrists. An officer warned him to drop the knife and keep his distance. Ross evidently didn't comply and was fatally shot.
